American Freedom Alliance mourns the sudden passing of its founder and president, Avi Davis.
He was a great friend, a truly fine man, and an intellectual powerhouse whose sudden loss we all feel acutely.
Avi and this organization have been a tremendous force for freedom, and the Board of Directors of AFA has been meeting to ensure that this important work continues.  We are committed to the mission, and to honoring Avi.
Recently, Avi had written this:
Happiness comes in life not by wanting but by giving; and then, of course, by expressing gratitude and humility for whatever small portion of good luck we are privileged to enjoy as a result. To BE happy, in the end, is to be grateful - thankful for our extraordinary good fortune to be alive.
If this is the case, and we believe it to be, Avi Davis must truly have been one of the happiest of men, and we are grateful to have known him.
Roger Simon of PJMedia wrote this moving tribute, and this In Memoriam piece was written by Adelle Nazarian from Breitbart.com.

About The Event

The Magna Carta, a document signed by the English monarch King John on June 15, 1215 with his subjects, represented by the English nobility, is a point in history where the destiny of the worlds’ human inhabitants shifted course. The document, which the King was forced to sign under penalty of outlined the framework within which the English monarchy would be permitted to operate having a direct bearing on private property rights, freedom from arbitrary arrest and representative government. As such it operated as a check on absolutism and paved the path for both the English Constitution which would emerge almost five centuries later and the U.S. Constitution which followed a century later. Without the Magna Carta, the freedoms we in the West enjoy would not have been possible  Yet today, the Magna Carta is largely relegated to irrelevance amongst revisionist historians, academics and politicians who ignore the arduous journey undertaken over the course of 800 years to secure our individual rights and liberties.

This international conference, involving world leaders from five continents and experts drawn from throughout the West, will seek to illuminate the significance of this document for world history, the dangers of failing to recognize this relevance, the centrality of the Anglosphere the spread of human liberty and concluding with an examination of how we can work to prevent the deconstruction of this important historical element in the structure of Western civilization.
