Quick Overview

We are proud to say that the Challenger 9" Differential Conversion Kit is no longer just a prototype. The kit has officially hit the aftermarket!

Reasons to use our Hendrix Engineering Axles in your Challenger:

1. We use full certified 300m center bars, not just 28 spline like the most others
*There is a reason the Viper T56 uses a 30 spline and its the reason we do too.*

2. We also use all Certified 4340AQ cages with re-designed radius on the CV cage windows.

3. Our center race in the CV is certified 300m. This should need no explanation. No one else uses this and we can prove it.

4. The rolled splines we use on our axle bars. Most people know that a forging is always stronger than billet. Here, we roll our splines. This is by far the strongest way to form a spline and is far superior to cut splines

Details

We are proud to say that the Challenger 9" Differential Conversion Kit is no longer just a prototype. The kit has officially hit the aftermarket! The kit comes complete with 9" rear housing (bare housing), front mount, rear weld in mount, custom 1400HP rated 31 spline diff stubs, and true 1400HP axles that do not use any “Factory”or "used parts". The outer CV is an Extreme built Billet CV with fully REM polished internals, along with a Porsche style 930 inner CV. We have custom made the internals of the CV's to use the larger center bar, which is the strongest tested center bar on the market today. This, along with our full 3" 1350 series 2-piece drive shaft, not the smaller 1330 that is offered by competing rear conversion kits. The shaft is balanced on our new 9500RPM balancer. A quick word about balancing: we have recently taken delivery of our new custom made balancer. Most balancing machines can only spin a shaft from 400RPM-3000RPM, although these are good machines, they can and will not see the unique problems that modern muscle cars present. These newer cars are uni-body and have most of the components bolted directly to the floor, so using a high speed balancer is necessary to craft such a hi performance shaft. This shaft will not vibrate at any speed. The installation of the kit will require a slight modification to the back of the rear cradle. A template will be included to puet on the frame that shows where alterations are needed. This is not a difficult modification, but it should be done by a professional. We have decided not to supply the kit with the center section. Due to the large variety of gears and differential choices, we will let you pick exactly what works best for your needs. The rear bolts right on and, it will be the last rear you will ever need for the car, unless you want different gears for different tracks. All fabrication work for the differential mounting is being done by Scott Bagshaw of Bagshaw fabrication in Mooresville, NC. His execution is a work of art. The cars computer will work with these gears: 2.83, 3.06, 3.23, 3.55, 3.73, 3.92, and 4.10. George Kooks' car is using the 3:73 gears, and I have to say that, after driving it for about an hour, calling it smooth and strong would be an understatement. It is nice to know that now these heavy weight rockets have a bullet proof alternative. for the 5.7 cars please call, all we need to do is change the front driveshaft Plate
