Custom rods are our specialty and are available (rush service coming soon) with your choice of ARP 2000 or Custom Age 625 rod bolts. Backwards bolt, slanted cap, or other custom or difficult to manufacture rods are also no problem for us. Independent and thorough testing of both our exclusive alloys and finished product places the utmost importance in ensuring that R&R delivers the best set of Steel Rods money can buy.
R & R uses CNC machining, not forging, to craft all of their Pro Billet Steel Rods. Forgings are easier and cheaper to manufacture and until CNC machining became popular, this was the only economical way to manufacture an steel rod. Billets actually cost more, but the finished product is actually stronger. Billet is always better!
They use only certified American-made alloys and all machining is done 100% in-house. Also, the rods go through a very extensive heat treat, tempering, and cryogenic treatment process, resulting in strengths that double that of the competition. Although visually most aftermarket rods look similar, the metallurgical properties of an R&R Steel Rods are far superior.
