A common problem with the new GM transmission - OEM or aftermarket clutches - is the plastic bearing release. High temperatures cause the piece to melt, not allowing the clutch to disengage. Eventually the piece will melt, fusing to the slave cylinder. For the past decade we have used a heavy-duty, billet replacement which is made to fit the clearance of any clutch whether it be the stock piece, or an upgraded product - like the top-rated StreetSlayer line available here at Hendrix-Engineering.
