Founded by Joseph A. Ward in St. Louis Missouri in 1870, Jos. Ward Painting co. has consistently ranked amongthe top painting contractors in the St. Louis metropolitan area and mid-west region. The measure of success is reflected in many ways: repeat business, volume, financial capability, longevity, dependability and integrity. By these measures Jos. Ward Painting Co. continues to perform in the painting industry.
Jos.Ward Painting Co. is a full service industrial and commercial painting contractor. We perform our services for new construction work and facility owners alike. The company services all spectrum's of the business community. Business sectors we service include: Civil, Health care, Government, Infrastructure, Institutional, Manufacturing, Retail, Residential Communities,Tenant finish and Utility. We perform the following applications; painting, high performance coatings, special coatings, floor coatings, sand blasting, water blasting, lead containment and abatement, wallcoverings, Duroplex, electrostatic, Belbien, faux finishes and taping.
We are a fully bonded, insured and licensed company. We employ only professional craftsmen. Through the years we have performed our craft on some of the most prestigious landmarks in the metropolitan St. Louis area.
Our focus of operations is total quality management.
We are committed to advanced technology for both office management and field applications. We work with owners and general contractors using computers to provide seamless project management. We commonly use electronic technology for emails, plans, safety analysis/reporting, submittals, insurance and pay applications. We develop, implement and track project specific quality plans to meet the goals of our customers.

We are committed to new technology but we haven't forgotten old fashion service and customer relations are the most important factor in business.

We provide our office and field employees with continuous training and education. As part of our total quality management program we monitor and evaluate employee performance and growth. The result is certified field mechanics who provide quality workmanship and a professional management team to service your projects.

Other safety training courses completed include: Confined Space worker and supervisor, lift and scaffold, lead abatement worker, lead abatement supervisor, lead safety renovation, repair & painting, respirator and First Aid Training.
We are an automated company. We use software for accounting, job cost, project management, estimating, email and access to FTP sites.
